Non Scientific Experiment

My Mother has been in “Operation: Get Rabbit Married” since I moved down here to Austin. Can’t really blame her. I’ll be 32 this year and I’m not getting any younger. I want to get married. It’s not like I don’t. I just need to get a few more things settled before I too become fully committed to “Operation: Get Rabbit Married”. Even my Grandmother is telling me “I’d like to see you get married before I die and I don’t know how much longer I’ll last.” No pressure here. (hint: Note sarcasm).

Okay, so now we get to the experiment part. I’ve got a few pics and profiles set up here and there on a few websites. Like I said I haven’t really committed myself to this endeavor yet or I’d be systematically cataloguing websites and potential mates in an excel spreadsheet. I’d be fine tuning the material I write in my profile and involving myself in various other activities designed to meet someone to marry. I haven’t been doing that. Instead I’ve just got some pictures up, on a few websites, and have been watching the number of hits I get for each one. Can you guess which pic received the largest number of hits?

And Finally PIC# 5

Which pic did you think garnered the most attention? I really believed the first pic would garner the most attention as I feel girls are still attracted to the badass even late into their 20’s and early 30’s and I was not wrong, in a sense, as it did end up in second place. The pic that attracted the most attention, by a substantial margin, was PIC# 3. It’s actually 2 years old and in it, my friends say, I look like a white boy not an Indian. The girls I’ve asked say I look the most attractive in that shot. And looking at me, they say it doesn’t look like me. I don’t know why, it is me. And no, no photoshopping was involved.

Ranking in order:

What’s funny is the pic I and my Mother chose to put on my biodata, last time I went home and she made me write a biodata, is the pic that came in dead last. Lol. Now, I like I said, this was a non-scientific experiment and the period of time that it took place in is approximately 2 to 3 weeks.

There are a number of factors involved in the game of attraction. The first in virtually every venue is physical looks. Naturally, members of both the female and male gender will generally gravitate towards the most physically attractive members of the opposite sex. I say generally because there are other factors involved that will mitigate the ranking of physical looks. The only venue in which personality may be the initial attracting factor is the Internet. It is only on the Internet where you may get to know a person’s personality before knowing what they look like and even here most people will ask to see a pic shortly into conversation. My Mother actually took me to Walmart to get some pics taken to send to India along with biodata. Here is the pic she chose.

I wouldn’t have contacted me with this pic. Even if the girl is good looking, if she’s not smiling in the pic and looks like she has an attitude or may be melancholy, I tend to avoid them. Funny story, though, after we got the Walmart pics and went home, I went back and got the phone number of the country girl who took the pics. Pimpin in Walmart. She was checking me during the pics. We chatted a bit on the phone, but once she found out I wasn’t Mexican, it was over. I was from over there and one of those A-rabs. She wasn’t too bright. India isn’t part of the Middle East and she couldn’t tell by my name that I wasn’t Hispanic.
